On-site registration is available.
Important Notes
- The trail will not be a closed course.
- There are intersections to cross so please be prepared to stop for traffic.
- This is not a chip-timed event.
Parking is in the Charles County Health Department parking lot or in the Indian Head Rail Trail parking lot (gravel): 4545 Crain Hwy, White Plains, MD 20695
Check-in is in the parking lot of the Charles County Health Department starting at 8:00am
RACE REQUIREMENTS

Course
The course is on the Indian Head Rail Trail. The start and finish will be at the White Plains end of the trail and the turn around will be determined by your event distance. There are intersections to cross to please be prepared to stop for traffic! There are portable toilets along the trail. NOTE: This is not a closed course.Elibility
All participants must be at least 14 years of age to participate in the Half Marathon. Kids under 14 may participate in the 5k and 10k, at the discretion of the parent/guardian. Due to the course not being closed, we recommend a parent/guardian/teammate accompany any younger skater.Waiver
All skating participants must check in and complete a waiver prior to racing.Drafting & Etiquette
Cross-gender drafting is permitted. All slower skaters are requested to skate in the right of the trail to allow for incident free passing by faster skaters and cyclists.Event Number
All participants must wear their event number on their left thigh and hand in the tear tag when finishing.Protective Equipment
All participants are required to wear a helmet and wrist protection. Knee and elbow pads are recommended.Personal Hydration
It is recommended that all participants bring their own personal hydration system
(e.g. water bottle or Camelbak) or have supporters available to hand you water bottles.Additional Safety Precautions

RACE AWARDS & CATEGORIES

Finisher Medals
All participants will receive an finisher medal after crossing the finish line.Awards
- Trophies will be given to the top 3 overall female and male finishers of the Half Marathon.
- Age Group Awards will be given to the top 3 finishers in each age category for the Half Marathon

- Senior 19-24
- Classic 25-34
- Master 35-44
- Veteran 45-54
- Grand Veteran 55-64
- Esquire 65-74
- Grand Esquire 75+

Results will be posted online soon after the event.
RACE WEATHER POLICY

Inclement Weather Policy
- Friday Night Skate will be cancelled if raining.
- Saturday Clinics are rain or shine as they are under the Woodrow Wilson Bridge.
- Sunday Races will be rain or shine.
- No skating will be permitted in the case of lightning.
